For Raf Simons' spring summer 2004 collection “may the circle be unbroken”, the designer shifted his focus to themes of spiritualism, Gnosticism, and literature. specifically, german author Herman Hesse was a disciple of gnostic psychologist Carl Jung.
The garments showcased the cyclical nature of consciousness, life, and the struggle of finding oneself as an individual while maintaining a sense of piece in a collective society. this yellow t-shirt features a black print of a Herman Hesse photograph, reinterpreted as a lithograph on the front of the garment.
