Arguably the greatest fighter of all time, Mike Tyson was brought in during 2007 for the traditional “photo tee” that Supreme does. In my opinion and experience from collecting, the box logo tees come first and then the photo tees follow when it comes to the items that people really look forward to releasing. As of recent, the box logo tee doesn’t make as many appearances as it use to but the photo tees have pretty much become a main stay at this point since the Raekwon tee released back in 2005. The Supreme attitude and culture in general just meshed so well with the Mike Tyson persona, resulting in this piece still being highly sought after almost a decade later. If you’re not familiar with the greatness of Tyson’s boxing career, he finished his career with a 50 wins and just 6 losses (back when boxing actually involved fighting). Of those 50 wins, 44 of those came by knockout. Two of the more famous ones would be his knockout of Michael Spinks in just 91 seconds, or his first amateur fight when he knocked out his opponent in just 8 seconds. Tyson’s personal life has been highly scrutinized and you can say what you want about him, but that does not take away that Tyson is one of the greatest to ever do it.
